 Dinner and program cost $20, payable at the door (check or cash).

Dinner will be a Buffet with choice of London Broil, Chicken Casseur, or Stuffed Shells with Ricotta Cheese.  Vegetarian dishes will be available with prior request.

 PROGRAM ABSTRACT:  Mr. Christie will provide an overview of the PennDOT bridge program as outlined in the current Business Plan for the Chief Engineer’s Office.  Topics will include:

§        Bridge Construction Program                                                           Status of Metrication and Dual Units

§        New Bridge Standards                                                                        Electronic Data Collection for Inspection

§        100 K Design Live Load                                                                    Other topics of interest

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:  Mr. Christie has been PennDOT’s Chief Bridge Engineer since 1995 and is responsible for statewide bridge design and inspection activities.  He is a member of various AASHTO Bridge Technical Committees, ABCD, ASHE, and ASCE.  He started his career as a bridge design engineer for Modjeski and Masters.  He received a M. Engr. from Cornel University and a B.S.C.E. from University of Pennsylvania.   He plays a little golf.
